Link Opens Window In Wrong Size

For the last 2-3 weeks it seems that whenever I click a
link that opens a new window, the new window is a smaller
size and not the 'maximized' window I prefer. It also
happens once in a while when I first open IE 6.0. Any
help with this would be greatly appreciated as it has
become something of a nuisance.
 
Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.

your i.e. is just remembering the last window position

before shutdown. Try opening i.e. dont hit the maximize
button but drag the edges where you want them to be an
then shutdown i.e. an reopen. then maximize the last few
millimeters an shutdown i.e. an reopen
