I have loads of horizontal lines going across my monitor
screen. Please could you advise what this could be caused
by.

This is a new problem.It happened after loading windows
XP but I have removed XP.The display settings are ok.Is
there anything I can do ?

If it is a CRT (TV tube) it could be the graphics drivers,
see if there is an update available. There should be a test
pattern available. The monitor could have hardware trouble.

If it is an LCD, the display could have mechanical problems
and you could have a graphics driver issue.

Run the tests at www.pcpitstop.com, they may show you some
answers.

If it happend after updating to winxp, its likely to be a driver issue,
though possibly the wrong refresh rates are being used.
