I would describe myself as a PowerPoint expert, but this one has got me
stumped.
Having just upgraded to SP2 of XP (which may or may not be related), for
some reason, I am unable to see lines on the main edit screen (PPT 2003 Pro).
When I draw a line I can see it in the thumbnail at the side, but it is as if
the line has adopted the same colour as the background ... the object is
there and is also visible normally in screenshow mode.
I did find myself looking at someone else's PPT this mornign and wondering
why the background appeared to be 'grey' when it otherwise seemed a std PPT
doc. Maybe I did something while looking into the background facility ... but
now I have a problem with all my slides where any line (boxes or shapes too)
have no visible representation on the main drawing canvas (apart from the
object vertices being there when selected).
I have rebooted, visited Office Update and tried repairing Office on this
machine ... all to no avail. Of course this only happens when you have a push
on to get a body of work finished before Xmas. Any ideas or pointers
appreciated. Thanks in advance.
