You won't be able to use Word's built-in line numbering feature for this,
unfortunately. You might want to examine the documents produced by Word's
Pleading Wizard. These have line numbers in a text box anchored to the
header. The numbering restarts on each page (naturally) and is of fixed
spacing, so it is usable only for documents with absolutely uniform spacing,
but if this will meet your needs, you could easily create such a text box on
the right side of the page instead of the left.
