Line Fill and Object Fill

I am having a problem with both the line and object fill. When I choose a color, it will not show up on the monitor, but will PRINT out in the color selected. Does anyone have an idea of what I can do?

Well, not having any information about the version of Word involved, the most immediate thought would be to trty updating your graphics car driver...
