I have a workbook with numerous cells that use data
validation - just a pull down of 4 choices. There are
probably over 4000 cells using this.
When I save the file, I get the error message that "Excel
could not save all the data and formatting you recently
added to [file name.xls]. I initially thought the issue
was that I was using conditional formatting with those
cells to color code according to choice and apparently
Excel will not accept that many cells with conditional
formatting. So I deleted the conditional formatting but
am receiving this message again.
Is there a limit to the number of cells that can use data
validation? When I choose to save as is (that is, not all
of the changes I made will save), a number of the cells
using data validation no longer work. Is there a way
around this?
Thanks!
