Hi
How to limit the number of columns on a sheet? I'd like to have a
columns on a sheet and afterwards coming the "gray area" (Like it i
coming after 256 columns or 65536 rows)

Thanks in advance

Maybe you could just hide the columns you don't want to see.

But xl2003 (and below) have 256 columns--this can't be reduced or increased.

Give this a go...

Set your print area, go to a print preview and select the Print Break Preview.

Maybe this will give you the aesthetics you are looking for. The columns and rows are still there, but not shown as a normal input area.

If not happy with the other solutions offered, switch to Quattro Pro,
where you can go as small as a one-by-one worksheet, if you like.
