limited user

we purchased a laptop with windows xp pro, only one
problem, one user account to sign on to windows and it is
a limited account user, how can we add another account to
windows and get some administrator functions, do not have
windows xp pro cd, is there a way to do this??????

Hi

There is always the builtin Administrator user...

How to Log On to Windows XP If You Forget Your Password or Your Password
Expires

If that doesn't work out, you might try to reset the local Administrator
password with one of the methods mentioned here:
