There is. Use access control lists and/or create user groups and make
yourself and the users who should have access members.

When sharing a folder in XP there are two types of permissions that need to
be set, share level and NTFS. The traditional way is to set the share level
to everyone and use NTFS to control who has what kind of access.

I remember that sharing tab shown here, but my system has a very
different one now.
It has: "Local sharing and security" & "Network Sharing and Security"
boxes. I am guessing this has to do with having to turn off a
default setting in order to get my network to work.
