I was told by a thin client engineer that there are some
limitations to group poicies when applied to thin clients.
In my case, I was asking because I have GPOs that are set
to redirect my documents folder as well as start a locked
screen saver after 15 minutes. Is there any list of the
limitations or was I just told some bologne?

Philip,

There a several answers to your question, and they could all be right! If
your talking about an XPe Thin Client then yes there can be some limitations
to GPOs provided that some components were left out of the image
(intentionally or unintentionally). I'm assuming that you are joining these
machines to a domain so therefore you need all the domain support
components. You will probably also want the MMC components included so you
can view the policies on the TC. ("Group Policy Core Administration MMC
Snap-In) You would also need "Folder Redirection Group Policy Extension",
"Folder Redirection Group Policy MMC Snap-In", and "Group Policy Core
Client".

So in short it's based on what control level you have over the image.
Bologna or not is TBD. :-)

Yes, I need all of this. The issue is that this is the
image that I am getting from my thin client manufacturer.
Have you come across this before and how can I get the
rest plugged in?
