I run a main PC which is running XP Home and Home Networking and is the
gateway to the Internet. I then run 5 other PC's off a wireless network. I
have hit a problem with Norton AV 2005 whereby I have to drop the Worm
Protection to allow the wireless PC's to obtain an IP address. Norton's
answer is to specify any IP addresses that can broach the Worm Protection. As
the IPs are dynamic they can be any one of 255 and I will need to enter all
these as exeptions. I don't want to go for static IP addresses as we have a
number of visitors that want to access the wireless networks and I don't want
to issue static IP addresses each time and change peoples laptops. The
obvious answer is to be able to restrict the number of dynamically available
IP addresses to say 10 and then I just need to let Norton know about these
10. Is there a way of setting this up?
