I was sent 3 cd's with my entire OS (winXP) on them, from
Dell, to correct some problems I had. I'm thinking about
getting a laptop (w/o an OS) from the Dell auction site.
How do I get a license from microsoft to use my 3CD's, as
my OS and what would the pervaziling price be. Thanks.
 
you have the key , just install them. Activation should
not be a problem. It will activate by phone or online.

ALthough you can buy a second license, it's not a good deal.
You're better off just buying a complete second copy from a
discount source.

Willit, thank you. I thought I could just use the laptop
for it's wordprocessing tools. You suggest I could do
more. That is something for me to condsider. Thanks.
