I have installed a program in my laptop that I have in my desktop, but when I
opened it, it only gives me the trial version, so I have to register the
license file. I don't know how. Can you help? Thanks

Program name ?
Anyway, this is not the right newsgroup. Go to the product support/forums and
ask there.
See if there is "Help - Register/Activate"

You presumably paid for a license to use it on a single computer. When you
install it on the second one, it only runs as a trial version, and you need
to pay for it again to use there.

Check your EULA or with the software vendor to see if I'm right about the
license being for a single computer. If I'm not right,a and your license
permits multiple installations (unlikely) the vendor can tell you what to
do.

That all depends on what kind of licensing scheme it is. Obviously we've
not gotten nearly enough information, it could be some FlexLM type which
will allow you to install it on a zillion computers, but only use 1 at a
time. But I doubt it.

You haven't provided enough info. What is the program? Does the license
say it can be installed on two computers?

Of course. Are you disagreeing with me? That's why I said "Check your EULA

As do I. Why does your message purport to disagree with me, when you're
saying all the same things I did?

Depending on how the software publisher operates, you may need to contact them
to:

1) Confirm that the software can be used on two PCs at the same time. If
not, you need to remove one installation.

2) Ask for the software registration key copy, code or installation for the
second one.

Maybe you read it wrong. I don't know. I was just pointing out that all the
time, one license can be many installs.......but we didn't have enough
info.
