Licence for Xp

Hi.
Please can someone answer a question for me.
I have windows XP Pro OEM on my pc. I have split the hard drive, into 2. I
want to load my windows XP OEM on to the 2nd partiotion aswell.
You have to register the software with microsoft after 30days. as i want to
put it on my own pc and Not on another pc am I allowed to do this. ?
What will happen when I register it with microsoft.?

I would guess that I can as long as I dont put it on someone elses pc.
I just want to be sure.

The Windows XP EULA (End-User License Agreement) states they
one may install just one (1) copy of Windows XP on one (1) computer.
A second installation will require the purchase of a second license
in order to activate the second installation and not violate the EULA.

If you need the 2nd install for less than 30 days - ex. to save from a
corrupted installation on the 1st partition, you can do it; you can not
activate 2 installations of same license, though - and why in the world
would you want to do this anyway when you can run multiple users on one
installation.
