i bought a new computer and have encountered difficulties
when i try install my lexmark x85 printer. I have windows
xp. when i try to install it and it gets to the part to
connect the usb cable to the printer and computer and i
connect them, the installation program just hangs there and
freezes up and does not continue on. I have tried
uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Also, i have
tried the latest drivers from the lexmark website. i have
checked to see that the usb ports work and they seem to as
i installed the mouse which is also a usb device and it
works fine in all them. the lexmark printer worked fine on
my old computer so i know the usb cable is fine. my old
computer also had windows xp. i don't know what else to
try. any solutions out there would be greatly appreciated.
