Help please, My brother has recently purchased a new Lexmark 3 in one printer
which, as I expected, ran out of colour ink in no time at all so he bought a
replacement locally & after removing the plastic strips inserted it following
the printer "on screen" instructions. However, the printer details on his
laptop screen
still indicates it is empty, what should be his next port of call please?

wELL, bASIL,

oBVIOUSLY, YOU DID not FOLLOW THE ON SCREEN
INSTRUCTIONS - JUST AS i FORGOT TO RELEASE THE
CAPS-LOCK KEY ....

1. Open the All-in-1 Centre, and go to maintenance - change cartridge

1. Open the printer and remove the colour cartridge

1. Put the cartridge back in - next

1. Choose the correct colour cartridge, AND "No, it is new"

1. That should do it!

Your brother should ask you what to do.

Hello [garfield-n-odie ] I was somewhat puzzled by you answer, if I had known the next step my brother should take to solve his problem I would not have been so naive as to waste my time and yours by asking the question in the first place. Seeing you add the letters [MVP] to your name I assume you [like Suzanne & others who add these letters] are well versed in this I.T. stuff and did not expect this sort of answer from a professional. Thankfully, a more positive answer came from down under so I will pass it on. Regards B.B.
