I tried to copy a letter that has a header and footer to our company logo document and ended up loosing the headers & footers from the letter.

Unless you put a section break at the end of the copied portion and paste
that along with the selection, you won't get headers, footers, or any other
document/section-level formatting. And if you did, you'd override the
settings in the document you were pasting into (probably including the logo,
if it's in the header). You'll need to copy/paste the header/footer contents
separately.

Thank you so much for your reply it was a lot of help. I was able to place a continuous section break into the letter before copying over. But I also discovered that if I put a continuous break into the document that has the logo that I can keep it as well without loosing any of the text. Thanks agai
