legal pleadings wizard

My legal pleadings wizard would not work. I tried with Dell support to get it fixed. I downloaded the reset for Legal pleading wizard but that would not work. I saw an article on the microsoft web that gave some ideas. One was to remove the Microsoft Works Suite Add-In for Microsoft Word. Well I removed it now my Legal Pleadings wizard works, but what I have I done to my system by removing Microsoft Works Suite Add-In for Microsoft Word? Also, why does microsoft make a system that doesn't work with another system that are sold together? Please, someone help. Thank you!
 
If you use Word freestanding (you don't start it from the Works Task
Launcher), you have lost nothing that you will miss, just a lot of
annoyances.
