I installed SP2 on my Dell Inspiron 8200 last week and
thought everything was peachy until I began having mouse
issues. A few times now, the screen will switch to
another window or app and when I go back to the original
program, the left mouse button will no longer respond. It
may even just stop for a particular window within the
screen. Right click works and the keyboard responds, but
no left-mouse button until I reboot the PC.

Anyone have any insight/experiences?

Thanks so much.

What kind of mouse it it usb? ps2? Have you tired updraging the driver for
the mouse?

Michael,

I've had that here too, and it turned out that the microswitch
in the mouse had gone sour.

To rule this out, borrow another mouse for a while.
