question about the LED fans.

are they for the so-called "mod cases" where a side of the case has a
semi-glass panel?

are they suitable for non "mod cases"?

Why would you use a LED case fan in a case that's not modded? It'd be
like leaving the light on in the refrigerator,
no one would see it while the door is closed.

Not necessarily. I bought some 80mm Arctic-Cooling LED case fans, and they
were a couple of milimetres too thick to fit in the front of my windowed
case. I put them in a second PC with an 'unmodded' case, and they lit up
the front quite sweetly.

I had an LED fan a while back, and it lit up the fan hole quite nicely
:-)

Yes they are, but more expensive that just the plain black ones unless you
are looking at say panaflow or pabst. Also, keep in mind, they will
generate a minimal amount of heat with the leds, so you decide.
