Learning LINQ to SQL so where's the Data menu?

I Add New LINQ to SQL document and drag a table onto the designer but where
is the
Data menu in VS2008? I saw it briefly display between the Debug and Tools
menu but
then it disappeared.

More help on this menu item is needed.
 
Weird, apparently an item has to be selected and highlighted in Server
Explorer to enable the display of the Data menu.
