Leaner XP coming for older CPUs?

I was told by a reliable source (but I have serious doubts...) that MSFT is
looking towards publishing a version of XP that can run efficiently enough so
that older PCs can use it. PCs such as higher end PII and PIIIs are supposed
to be the target, despite their limited memory capabilities and processor
speed. Does anyone have accurate information or a link to where I can find
the info? Thanks, DStringham
