Late Binding. C# equivalents of VB functions

Activator.CreateInstance(Type) seems to be the C# equivalent of VB.NET's
CreateObject() method

However, I cannot find the equivalent C# for VB.NET's GetObject()

System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.GetActiveObject
