Have LJ1100 attached to W2000 standalone desktop. Printer is installed and working with all apps. but an HP error dialog appears when the W2000 desktop is displayed after boot. Dialog states "An error occurred during the installation of the device - the parameter is incorrect". Clicking "finish" clears the error dialog box which does not reappear until next boot
The LJ1100 is shown under "problem devices" in Computer Management with an error code 18 which requires "reinstalling the drivers" according to KB article 125174
Downloaded and installed the latest driver from HP, printer still works fine but I still get the error dialog
How do I get rid of the error dialog
Thanks.

By chance is this printer installed in a LPT (parallel)
port but now HP insists on claiming that it is an USB
printer and asks for an USB installation?

.
The printer only has a parallel interface. Please
explain about "HP claiming it is an USB printer and asking
for a USB install?" Thank you.
