Laser Printer problems with XP

I just got off with tech support of Konika Minolta. This is the second laser
printer I've tried with the same problems. It keeps losing connection with
the computer. We got it back on line, but he says it is a bug with Microsoft
and they are working on an update to fix it. Does anyone know if this is true
and if there is indeed and update?

It would help if you would tell us how the printer is connected? USB,
Parallel, IEEE, networked or Serial???

You haven't us whick Konica/Minolta printer it is or how it's connected, but
I'm not aware of any such bug. I can also tell you that my Konica/Minolta
PagePro 1350W has no such problem and works just fine.

sorry, I'm not real literate about computers. It is a Konica Magiccolor
2400w and is connected with USB port i believe.
