I tried to send an e-mail with a large attachment and found out that I would not be able to because my e-mail server does not allow for large attachments - When trying to delete the e-mail form my outbox - it says that I cannot delete it because the e-mail has already started transmission.

Does anyone know how I delete this half-transmitted e-mail from my outbox?

I was hung up like that once and had to call the
server/isp and they removed it.

Depends on what version of Microsoft Outlook you are using. Here are a
couple of ideas...

1) See if Microsoft Outlook has a File > WorkOffline option. If it does,
select it and then try to delete the message from the outbox. (Sometimes it
is easier to break the network connection before starting Outlook or start
Internet Explorer and select File | Workoffline.)

2) If the above fails, you need and you are working with POP/IMAP account,
try create a new personal folder file and set it as the default delivery
location. Restart Outlook and then delete the item in the Outbox. Switch
the default delivery location back to the prior personal folder file and
restart Outlook.
