Large blank spaces between programs in add or delete window

I have a few programs that list in the add or delete window, followed by
probably a page of nothing, followed by the rest of the list of programs
installed.

I can highlight the space, but can find no instructions on how to delete it,
or have the list reset.

Would really appreciate some help please.

Thanks Will, these appear for AutoCad or Autodesk & I'm not game to try them
for my problem. I'm running XP SP2. Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs,
lists to Answer works runtime, then blank in white, highlites in blue.
Right/Left mouse clicks do nothing. Delete doesn't work.

Hi

I have the same problem PLUS I have very long thick black lines and black
blocks as well.

I did look at the web site suggested but it did not help me as I'm not sure
what's meant by "display icon". I looked for a minus sign in the registry
and can only find one and that's in AdAware, before I try to remove it, can
some one tell me if it's safe to do that?

Hi Leo.

I still have the same problem and have just learnt to live with it. I dont
have your black lines tho. I havn't been game to try any remove them as I
know very little about systems. Maybe they are residue from something else I
erased long ago, in a galaxy far far away :-)

Thank you Tom, I don't think that it is doing any harm to my computer (?) but
I do find it annoying plus I'm surprised that no one has been able to come up
with a solution.

Oh boy...yes perhaps it is, but I'm on the East Island and you're on the West

I also have the same problem you have with the long thick vertical
lines in Add or Remove Programs. That is how I came to your post by
doing a search about this problem.

Did you ever find a fix for it?

It's because there is an icon with a negative one index under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
