My idea: more info would be a great help

not sure how it exactly happened. my guess is a virus of some kind. no
error report comes up it seems like it is going to start up as normal then it
freezes during startup. not sure what else i can tell you?

i have run the antivirus program in safe mode and nothing has been found as
far as i can see not sure what else i can do

Try booting into Safe Mode, then report the result here.

I do not mean to offend you in any way, but based on your posts in this
thread your sister should take the computer to a professional repair shop
(not a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place). It will be nearly
impossible for people who can't see the computer to accurately diagnose it
based on the information you're providing.

If the computer runs in Safe Mode, but not in normal mode, then obviously
something is being loaded at startup that's dicey.

In Safe Mode, pick Run, then type MSCONFIG. Disable all the startup programs
and re-boot.

When the computer begins running normally, start adding the original
start-up programs back into the stream. You'll undoubtedly find the culprit.

Already did earlier:

found as far as i can see not sure what else i can do"
