Laptop Touhpad

Hi, Does anyone know how a laptop touchpad works?

Bcause it will only work if yu pu your finger on it, it wont if you put anything else on (a pen lid etc...)

Is it body heat,
Its just something i was wanderng about

oh dear god how immature am i...

the words "Nipple" and "mice" used together, one after the other made me giggle like a schoolgirl!!
 
Hay, thanks for that, i just wanted to know how it only works with your finger - something to do with electricity, ive forgotten it already!
 
I didn't know thats what they were, i have used them nd there horrible i much prefer a touch pad
 
i knew what you meant by nipple mouse, i had just never heard it be called that.

I prefer a combination of the 2 actually...
 
I've wondered about that too. I spent about 10 minutes the other day trying to get my iPod touchwheel to work with various household objects :D

Its quite clever how they work!
