Laptop shuts off in 30 sec. on battery. ok on AC

Laptop Satellite 5005 completly shuts off after 30sec. on
battery power. Battery is fully charged. Toshiba replased
mother board. problem still exists and Toshiba sead it was
a software problem. (Software is not warrenty coverd by
Toshiba) My tuff luck. Thanks for reading.

My Satellite 1805-S274 does the same thing. My battery
doesn't last over 5 minutes. It also shuts down
periodically when plugged in, randomly.
My two previous Toshiba's were great, not sure if my next
purchase will be Toshiba....
Frustrated also.
