I have a HP laptop running XP Pro that was working fine
one day and the next it pops up with NTloader missing.
Any easy way to fix this without lossing all my data.

Use any other computer running XP, copy boot.ini,ntdetect.com,ntldr to a:
use that floppy to boot up your laptop , and recover the ntldr file to your
C:\
(this method is assumed that the winxp that you installed is in the same
partition as the other computer running xp)

or go into command prompt recovery mode ,
after enter the admin pwd , copy the ntldr file from a: to c:\
by going to recovery mode, insert the winxp cd, boot from cd, then it will
asks you whether to repair or reinstall winxp
choose repair by using recovery mode or something like that to enter the
recovery mode
