landscape preview problem

I have two machines running on windows 2000 professional
and neither will display a preview of an excel worksheet
in landscape ... portrait is fine, but not landscape. This
came up when I had to reload the operating system on one
machine and then recently on a machine upgraded to 2000
professional.

Is there a setting I'm missing? Do I need to reinstall a
service pac?
