I have a computer using Windows XP Pro. I connect via a cable modem. A few days ago I noticed in the Taskbar the 1394 and LAN connection ICONS were displayed with a red X through them. I disabled and re-enabled both and my Internet connection was restored and both Icons disappeared. It happened again yesterday. Could a signal interruption/loss cause this? It's easy to fix, but i'm wondering if thers more to the problem. I keep the computer onm and in standby when not in use. Thanks

Going into standby can cause that. Some network adapter driver
programs don't work properly when the computer wakes up from standby.
