I have another typical problem. My LAN home network is based on static IP
addresses. Rest of the machines are on Windows XP and my new laptop is on
Windows Vista Home Premium. I have given statis IP address (192.168.0.27) to
my laptop. It keeps on saying that unindentifying network. Whereas, on XP
computer, my Laptop is visible(however without access to shared drive), none
of XP computers are visible on Laptop. I tried to make IP address as
automatic, then it keeps on identifying the network and does nothing.

I would like to add that with same LAN, Broadband Internet is working
perfectly fine.

Kindly comment. Is there something to be done in Windows Firewall.
