labmate entered her info for windows password and cant remember password

I upgraded to xp on my computer i use in lab. It has GB's
of my research on it and the next time it booted up it
must have asked for a windows name and password, which a
labmate entered in. Now the password is expired and I
dont know the old one.
Does anyone know a way to bypass this?

Have you tried logoging in as administrator?


It may be necassry to press cntl-alt-delete twice at login
screen.
