KVM loses mouse

I have a PS/2 KVM that loses the mouse during flips.

I recall that there used to be a registry modification for not detecting the
mouse that resolved this by forcing Windows to not look for the PS/2 mouse.
This would allow the mouse to disappear and reappear from the system, because
Windows was no longer monitoring for its presence.

Can someone provide the registry setting for this?

I have the same issue so I will monitor this post too.
I don't loose the mouse every time but it is annoying when it happens
because you have to use the keyboard commands to reboot the computer.
Here's the weird thing. I sometimes have 3-4 computers on at the same time.
The only computer that is affected is the main computer that plugs into the
front of my KVM switch. This is the case regardless of what computer is
plugged there. It only seems to affect the main computer.. is the point.
It also happens regardless of changing out the KVM, as I have done a few
times. My point is that the issue is there even if you switch KVM's and it
always affects the main computer, which is the system that plugs into the
front. The four inputs on the back of the KVM seem to switch seamlessly all
the time.
