The last half of this school year I used KOffice and was really
impressed with it -- making a switch from OOo.

What do you think of these two head-to-head?

I can't address a head-to-head. I don't know Koffice. However, I'd
recommend you check out OpenOffice.org's site and check out what they're
up to. OO 2.0 is in rc stage, should be finaled late spring/summer.
It's a damn fine productivity tool.

I'm not affiliated w/them but have been using their stuff for 4 years
now and handing it out like candy to small and start-up businesses. If
your client knows Excel, Word and Powerpoint, the learning curve is very
flat.

Has KOffice been ported to Windows?

Is this group just strictly limted to Windows apps?

If so, sorry, but I just wanted what people thought of these two
compared against each other.

Nah.

In this case, the newsgroup's name is pretty much straight forward.
Freeware regardless of OS.

Back to OpenOffice, you do know that it's available on Windoze, *nix and
is being ported to OSX?

No, why would you ask?

And I asked a relevant question. Any app that is cross-platform has,
imo, an edge over one that isn't.

No, but it would be nice of you to say it's a Linux app. That prevents a lot
of unnecessary looking around by Windows users.
