Am I correct by assuming this will only work with Explorer Shell, since
there is no task bar in the other shells?

Other shells?

In command prompt it would not have any sense, right?
From your custom shell you can always read state of ewf trough ewf API and make your visual indication if needed.

Richard,

The component will work on Minlogon as well but it does nto really make a
sense to run it without Systray support.
Basically, you can say that it will only work with Explorer Shell.

If you have another shell, you can easy change the sources (or create a
similar app) to have any UI to indicate EWF state.

Let us know here what you want to accomplish and we may be able to help you
more.

It's not a big deal, I will do some add the support to our custom shell.

The reason I was asking is honestly, I did not know id the task bar was
Explorer Specific. I assumed it was but since I ran an explorer shell up to
yesterday I didn't know for sure.

Yes, your right, if there isn't a task bar, or tray, then there isn't any
point in it.
