Please help. My father-in-law installed windows xp on my home computer and made an account for himself as system administrator on MY computer. I want control of my own computer. How can I delete his account and make my account the system administrator? Thanks in advance.

Jeb;
If you have a Limited profile and his is Administrator, you can't
without reloading Windows.
Get the password from your father in law.

Another way to get back control, in addition to Jupiter
Jones's idea, is to give your father-in-law a hoot saying
something like "Hey, this is my computer, I need
administrator privleges for myself, not you!"

Greetings --

Why was your father-in-law working on _your_ computer? If you
lack the knowledge to install the OS and to adjust your user
privileges, you're really not ready to have administrative control,
just yet.
