keystrokes for strikethroughs

Need to know if there are keystrokes for adding and removing strikethroughs
instead of having to use the pull-down menus all the time

You could create character Styles for both of these and assign keyboard
shortcuts to the styles. The method for doing this varies slightly depending
on which version of Word you are using.

Yes. if you explore Tools | Customize, Keyboard...you will find that you
can set keystrokes for all Word's built-in commands, including many not on
the menus. This dialog will also tell you if there are keystrokes already
set up for strikethrough--it should be a toggle, rather than a separate
keystroke to remove strikethrough.

And if you find you can't assign a keyboard shortcut for strikethrough (I
don't find it in the list of commands in the Keyboard... part of Tools |
Customize), you can add a toolbar button for it.

I've got it with Format selected in the left column, and Strikethrough
alphabetically on the right column, though that's no guarantee the original
poster will too.

Me, too. I could have sworn I looked and didn't find it. <sigh> I think I
was expecting it to be with the font selections. It's really rather
confusing that some of the Format entries are freestanding (like
"Strikethrough") and some begin with Format and some with Font.
