In the meantime:

1. The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time
things worked and the time they didn't?

2. Do a System Restore to when things worked.

3. Try a different keyboard.

4. Make sure you have your regional settings correct and, if a laptop, you
don't have your numlock toggled on.
