Keyboard Wont work under windows

I have a laptop with XP home and if i boot to a floppy the
keyboard works fine. When i boot to windows the keyboard
or mouse doesnt work. I can hook up an external mouse and
that will work. So then i go to device Manager and see
that there is a yellow icon next to the keyboard and
mouse. I tried updating the driver but no luck. Any
suggestions on what is causing this or how to fix it.
 
Check to make sure the internal keyboard/mouse had not been disabled in the
laptop's BIOS.

Also, delete both the keyboard and mouse from Device Manager and reboot
Windows. Windows should re-detect the keyboard/mouse and re-install the
drivers correctly.
