keyboard weird problem

hi,
I have just formatted my hardrive and re -loaded xp but my problem is
that when I press this key @ on my keyboard I get this " on my screen
and vice versa can anyone help Im using a laptop if that helps

English United Kingdom and English United States keyboards have these keys
switched. Whichever you think you are using you are probably using the other
one.

So in control panel, regional and languages applet, check that your default
is the one you want.
