Suddenly, all keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl + *) in Windows XP
Home edition have been disabled. For example, Ctrl+S,
Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V no longer work. I know I can use menu
options, but I am used to using the keyboard shortcuts.
Is there a menu option to tab (Ctrl+tab) in a Word table
cell?

How can I get them back?

Thanks.

Do you use only english keys? Sometimes on international keyboards swich the
language and cannot use Ctrl+keys.

Yes, I am using only English keys

Some research has suggested that 'the shortcuts have been disabled as a side effect of disabling the "lock workstation" function', but I don't know how to enable the "lock workstation" function

I have tried using both Ctrl keys on the keyboard in case it was a keyboard malfunction but neither of them works

Thanks.
