How do I assign a keyboard shortcut to a tool bar button

Most buttons already have shortcuts assigned. See:

If a pre-assigned shortcut does not exist, replicate the button's action and
assign a shortcut to the macro. There may not be a shortcut to make a cell
superscript, so make a macro:

Sub Macro1()
Selection.Font.Superscript = True
End Sub

and assign a shortcut to it
