Is anyone aware of a keyboard shortcut to insert the current date as a "hard
date" in a document? I don't want to insert a date field that automatically
updates with the current dat when the file is opened.

Thanks

Alt+Ctrl+G does nothing here. You must have created this as an AutoText
entry or the like and assigned that keyboard shortcut.

And I am telling you that this is not standard; you must have added it. If I
go to Tools | Customize | Keyboard and enter Alt+Ctrl+G, it comes up
"[unassigned]." I suspect that if you start Word in Safe Mode, you will find
that your shortcut does not work.

Hey, Suz. :) When I hit Insert, the shortcut Alt+Ctrl+G appears right there
to the right of Date and Time...
