Keyboard problems in Outlook

My keyboard settings have switched to US from UK International e.g. I can't
type the @ or ~ from those labelled keys. Word, Excel etc seem to be ok.
Outlook seemed to lose its settings last night, but I was able to recover
signature, pst files ok.
Any ideas for a fix?
 
Remove all the unused keyboard layouts in Control Panel-> Regional and
Language Options
