keyboard locked?

Hi:

I was playing around my laptop and suddently i could not type normally any
more.

I guess that I pressed some keys and somehow one of keys locked the
keyboard. I can type some keys but not most of them, and backspace key is no
longer working.

help!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like you've turned on Numlock. Look at your keyboard to see
how to turn it off or consult your laptop's manual.

On my lap, there is a key to press to use alternate keys, there is green
writing on (some) keys and many keys do nothing. Check it closely, if like
mine, pressing the right key will bring the standard keyboard back.
