Keyboard Failure Message

Whenever I reboot my computer I get a Keyboard Failure message at
start-up(when it gives all the info about the system and softwear, etc.). The
message has shown for a long time but we've not been able to figure out why
it says this. The keyboard works absolutely fine but I'm getting tired of
seeing this message everytime. If anyone knows how to correct this, please
help. Thanks.

I'm assuming it's the BIOS that's giving you the message? I know that one
would get that message from older BIOSes if there was no keyboard attached.

First thing to try is plugging in another keyboard to see what happens. If
no message, it might mean that your keyboard works, but some internal flaw
is is triggering a spurious error.

Depending on your BIOS, you might be able to turn off error messages if you
want to continue using that keyboard.

Eventhough your keyboard works fine, there may be a minor problem
with one of the keys that you may not be using. This will cause the
system to give the error message. If you have access to another keyboard
try it and see if the same message comes up, otherwise its time to buy a
new one. Most are under $20.00

Look in the BIOS. There are sometimes ways of stopping these error messages
from popping up, or to set it so it does not check for these things.

I use most of the keys on a regular basis and have checked all of them to see
if that may be the case...maybe it is time to get a new keyboard! Thanks.
