Keepnig Tool Bar hidden

I want to keep the tool bar hidden when I receive a
message on a messenger. Whenever someone sends me a
message it will come out of the hidden stage. Why is that
and how do I change it???

Fran,
You won't be able to stop it from popping up - that's
the normal behavior.

You can, however, when it's up, put your cursor on the
top edge (presuming you have the task bar on the bottom of
the screen), and while left-clicking drag the taskbar down
until you only see a few pixels of it. Now, when it tries
to pop up, you'll only see a few more pixels of it.
